Have you ever heard the term once in a blue moon,well it means some thing that happens not so often.

Well Aug 31st 2012 was one such day where we withnessed the Blue moon phenomenon,next blue moon would be in 2015.To be frank a blue moon doesn't mean that the moon would appear blue in colour :).Rather it is a phenomenon where full moon would appear twice in the same month.As the lunar cycle is ~29.5 days so the 30,31 days months occasionally cram in two full. moons.
