Movie Review - Step Up 4 Revolution

Step Up 4 - Revolution is a movie produced by director Jon M.Chu and directed by Scott Speer.

PLOT:

Emily Anderson plays the lead role,she is the daughter of a wealthy business man.Unlike her father who wants her to take over his busnisess she has a passion to become a professional dancer.She falls in love with Sean, a young man who leads a dance crew who specailises in flash mobs. The crew is named/called the " MOB ", whose goal is to win 10 Million views on You Tube.Like any film which needs a bad guy,here Emily's father takes on this role and threatens to destroy the MOB's neighborhood and build a hotel in its place.Watch the movie to find out how Emily and Sean team up to save the MOB's neighborhood.

REVIEW:

If you have not watched the previous Step up movies,this movie would rock your world.But if you have watched at-least Step up 3 then you would agree with me that Step up 4 was a step down.All in all a good movie to be watched at-least once.I would rate it 3 out of 5.

Movie Review - Ice Age 4 Continental Drift.

Directed by Steve Martino and Mike Thurmeier,starring the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Keke Palmer, Chris Wedge, Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Lopez, Wanda Sykes, Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Manny, Diego, and Sid embark upon another yet another adventure after their continent is set adrift by the one and only saber-toothed squirrel Scrat .Using an iceberg as a ship, they encounter sea creatures and battle pirates as they explore a new world.

The saber-toothed squirrel Scrat has done it again, this time he caused the Continental Drift; it was really hilarious to see the Scrat at his best. Really liked the part when he found Scratlant by following the instruction on the map. This place was a living paradise for the saber-toothed squirrel Scrat as it consisted of his dream worth of nuts, but he managed to sink it to the bottom of the ocean J.

Nice movie, A must watch at least once, lots of fun, it will keep you entertained till the end.

Movie Review - The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises (2012) directed by Christopher Nolan which is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). Christian Bale replays the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.


Eight years of peace in Gotham city, a new terrorist leader, Bane, overwhelms Gotham's finest hour, and the Dark Knight rises to protect a city that has branded him an enemy.


There are a lot of twist in the story,and i advice that if you have not seen Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008) which is unlikely ;), It would be a bit hard for you to understand the start of the movie as to why Batman is framed as a criminal by Gotham city.

The weapons where mind blowing as expected by batman, especially the bike which is out of this world.The Action was a bit less for me,was expecting a little bit more action.But over all its a good movie,a one time watch.

Movie Review - Cocktail

Just got back from watching Cocktail starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone & Diana Penty. Have to say the movie was quite a dampener and not at all what the promos promised it to be.

The past couple of months I've been on kind of a movie marathon catching a Flick or two every weekend. While watching Men in Black I guess is when i caught the preview of Cocktails and boy was I hooked.  The Promo portrayed the pic to be a slick stylish and fresh movie. different from the current movies that have been released so far. So convinced we were with the promos that my girlfriends and I decided to catch the movie as soon as it releases and so we did.

Today however sitting in the theater and actually watching Cocktail unfold before my eyes was a pretty traumatizing good three hours of my weekend. the starting fifteen minutes of the film were brazenly over the top and could have been better executed.  Saif character Gautam was really far from the smooth operator orcasanova image the director wanted to portray him to be. His first few shots at the cafe, airport and then at work just stuck out like sore thumbs in the movie. Was just hoping that the whole movie wasn't like that and that we could get what we came to see. Alas there were no really magical moments that would set this specific film apart. There were a couple of light and humerus moments in the film which were the only life saviors from the entertainment quotient of the film.

Saif's comedy timing is perfect though and he was pretty bang on in that aspect however as far as the romance angle goes between Gautam and Meera I don't think that was well established and could really connect with the audience. I mean they practically fell in love during a song. At a point in the movie I really wasn't concerned what was to happen between the two. It just didn't matter or rather wasn't convincing enough. I guess Saif couldn't really add that right romantic twist in this Cocktail of three.

Diana Penty in her role as the simple Meera is pretty awkward throughout the movie again far from connects with the audience. Deepika's portrayal of Veronica on the other hand is what actually made the movie worth it. I am not a Deepika fan but I must say that Cocktail was all in all a Deepika movie and really exhibited the flexibility she has as an artist to play such a difficult role of Veronica. She literally held the whole movie together.

Final verdict, Cocktail was an amazingly well packaged, promisingly stylish, fresh flick that was aggressively marketed. Successful marketing was the only thing that drew the public to the theaters to watch this flick from content perspective nothing about Cocktail was money's worth. If you're thinking of catching this movie in the theaters I'd say you can take a miss and wait for it to be digitally broadcast-ed as its certainly not wasting your precious three hours even for passing your time.
