Youth Violence

Youth violence is still a neurological mystery.

Violence is the act of purposefully hurting someone for someone/something.  Young or old everyone is impacted regardless of race, ethnicity or religion, violence disproportionately affects young people.
But the matter of the fact is that Young individuals are much more impacted and are easier targets both ways (victim/abusive).
Some violent acts such as bullying, manhandling etc can cause more emotional harm than physical harm.
The problem is that understanding the Root cause of as to why people tend to become violent is not as simple as it seems. There are  multiple factors that contribute to the development of violent attitudes and behaviors, there is not one approach or one group that can effectively prevent violence. A comprehensive and coordinated violence prevention approach is needed from public health, education, justice, public safety, and human service systems and implemented with the support of community leaders, businesses, and faith-based organizations.
Factors that contribute to violent behavior include:

    1. The Media
    2. Drugs
    3. Peer Pressure
    4. Unemployment
    5. Easy access to Weapons.
    6. Poverty
    7. Joining Gangs
    9. Bad Neighborhoods
   10. Short Temper

Though the above points might be revalant, what really triggers violence especially youth violence is still a neurological mystery.
